Management Team

Seth serves as Chief Executive Officer of Instantiations, leading the company’s strategy and operations focused on the responsible evolution of mission-critical enterprise systems.. He oversees a dedicated team advancing the VAST Platform and the company’s expansion across fintech, enterprise services, and AI-enabled infrastructure.

Since joining Instantiations in 2011 as a software engineer, Seth has contributed across advanced development tools, cryptography libraries, runtime systems, and virtual machine implementations.

Today, he leads both the enterprise platform and fintech operations supporting Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks across the United States and Canada in the payments space, while guiding the secure integration of AI capabilities within regulated environments.

Prior to Instantiations, Seth worked for the U.S. government in stochastic simulation, operations research, distributed computing, and link analysis. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Software Engineering.

Eric is co-founder of Instantiations, and a seasoned software technologist, product developer, and entrepreneur.

He has 30+ years of commercial software development experience, and is the primary author and architect of more than a dozen commercial Java and Smalltalk add-on products including WindowBuilder Pro, CodePro AnalytiX, and the award winning VA Assist Enterprise product lines. 

He was also a founder and Executive Vice President of Objectshare Systems, Inc. and Vice President of Development for ParcPlace-Digitalk. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT, an MBA from Harvard. 

Greg has a background in design, marketing, and web development. As a result, he often creatively leverages technology to improve project results and organizational performance. With industry experience in publishing, manufacturing, and healthcare.

Greg joined Instantiations in 2019 to enhance the company's marketing strategies and drive business growth. 

Outside of his professional life, Greg enjoys retro video gaming and restoring/modifying old technology.

Josh has over 30 years of experience working in information security, risk management, infrastructure management, systems architecture, IoT, and AI/ML. His career encompasses leadership roles across industries like healthcare, national security, fintech, and public services. 

Josh is a true generalist, and he enjoys bridging business and technology to ultimately drive operational excellence and deliver measurable value. His guiding principle: “Challenges beget opportunities!”

Julie is a CPA with a background in public accounting where she worked at Coopers & Lybrand for 6 years, then joined Instantiations in April 1998. Throughout her 25+ year tenure, Julie has worked in various roles within the company, including: finance, human resources, and most recently, sales.

Her strategic insights were instrumental in the successful sale of Instantiations (second incarnation) to Google in 2010 and the transformative journey that led to the third incarnation of Instantiations shortly thereafter. 

Beyond her professional life, Julie finds joy in sports, the outdoors, and traveling throughout the US to visit her adult children and new granddaughter.

Mariano is a systems engineer specializing in dynamic programming language software. In 2018, he joined Instantiations to further develop the VAST Platform through the addition of new frameworks, libraries and tools, as well as improving the existing code base of VAST.

He is active in the Smalltalk development community, and has used his expertise to co-author numerous open source projects.
Mariano has a PhD in Computer Science, and his academic research has been published across various international journals.

In his personal time, Mariano enjoys traveling as well as outdoor activities like camping and fishing.

Allen joined Instantiations in 2024 as a product/project manager with 25+ years of experience, and a proven track record of driving successful projects and outcomes in IT consulting and services. While having specialized in the Fintech industry, he has experience across multiple other verticals including: Medtech, retail, and manufacturing. In his current role, he leads Instantiations' Fintech Services team. 

He is proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. Outside of his work life, Allen enjoys tinkering with technology and experiencing the outdoors and ocean.
